Tulku Kunzang Drodul Wangpo
Ugyen Tendhar Gyaltshen was born on 23rd July 2009 in Bhutan. At the age of two and a half, he was recognized by H.H. 4th Dodrupchen Rinpoche as the reincarnation of the late Nubri Lama Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche of Sangchen Rabten Norbuling. A new Dharma name, Kunzang Drodul Wangpo, was then conferred by H.H. to the young tulku.
In 2012, H.H. performed a concise long life ceremony and offered monastic robes to Tulku Wangpo. A brief enthronement ceremony led by H.H. was then undertaken at Chorten Monastery in Sikkim. From 2012 to 2017, he was educated at Chorten Monastery under the guidance of H.H. 4th Dodrupchen Rinpoche and H.E. Kunzang Thegchok Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche. He also received teachings from senior lamas such as Gonpo Tulku and Khenpo Thinley as well as from other senior monks.
In June 2017, Tulku Wangpo was enthroned as the future Dharma holder of Sangchen Rabten Norbuling. He will remain there for the next few years so as to immerse himself in the study and practice of the Dharma.
